Space Week In Room Four

Space from Room 4
This week we have been focusing on our inquiry, Space. The first activity was on the 8th of May which was a star dome - this is in an inflatable dome with a projector in the middle and it would project the stars and constellations onto the ceiling. The interactive experience was one of a kind and was very interesting. I enjoyed the way we would travel to an image that had ten galaxies! The second visit was on the 9th of May when Mr Esler talked to us about space. He showed us models of the planets. He told us how to see sun spots and then demonstrated how to do it with his telescope. He showed us a titanium space shuttle fuel tank that weighs half of a steel or metal one. My favourite part was the rocket fuel tank because it actually fell from space onto earth.
